Hello Mamas! My name is Amanda Barker and I am a birth doula practicing in and around Kamloops,BC. I love being a doula, attending beautiful births and supporting women through this sacred time in their lives. I am a mother of four children and my own births have empowered me as a mother and changed me as a person. Birth continues to amaze me...it is instinctive and normal and yet so miraculous!
Here is some information on my services, and please feel free to call or e-mail me if you have questions or would like to schedule an interview!
The doula package:
-1 initial interview (free with no obligation)
-2 prenatal visits where we discuss your births preferences,informed choice,answer your questions, etc.. and get to know each other!
-A back-up doula..just in case!
-I am on-call for 2 weeks prior to your "guess date" and for 2 weeks afterwards.
-Birth attendance beginning at "4-1-1" (we will discuss what this means at our initial interview)
-If I am able to, I provide documentary birth photography during and/or after the birth (depending how busy I am squeezing your hips!)
-1 follow-up visit after your birth, where we talk about your birth, I give you your pictures, and I ask to hold your baby!
The total fee is $600.00
The first $300.00 is requested at the first prenatal visit, and the second $300.00 is requested on the last visit before your "guess date".
*I have a contract that is signed at the first prenatal visit (not interview), and we go over the ins & outs, refunds and other need to know FAQ's.
